Web Conference Room Tips - Contest

Today I wanted to talk about doing a contest to promote and or get traffic to your web conference room. This is a great way to have some fun with your conference room. You can do this in so many ways too. The prize can be what ever you see fit either large like a free vacation or small like a party in your web conference room for the winner. The contest can simply be a vote on something. A suggestion and chosen suggestion becomes a winner... Waht ever you feel would get traffic to your web conference room.

Examples...

I held a contest last year when I started my personal development newsletter. The winner who decided the newsletters new name got a free personal development book. You can do something like this to name your web conference room or similar. For me the cost of a book was well worth it I got extra visitors to my site, more post on the forum since that is where suggestions were made and lots more plus each person got on my mailing list for the new newsletter too.

I ran into another one just this week I liked a lot. Not only will her contest get her fresh content for her site it will also get her a ton of links back to her site as well thus helping her with the search engines ... in fact here I will show you exactly how she set it up...

Example: Her contest is for the best vacation spots.
1. each person submitting their entry puts something like this on their page, blog, myspace, etc...

Just like that and she even selected some celebrty judges to help her decide the winners. Plus she is running this for about 4 months so as it is promoted the contest will surely get more traffic as ell.
