Well thanks to all the Halloween candy my suger HIGH brings you todays tip. You see the only one thing I have not figured out yet is how my web conferencing software can create chocolate for the meetings. I know in the past knowing food or chocolate will be provided at a training or conference tends to get me to them .. smiles. you know how life got so much easier for many with the what was called then mbile phone? Now known as cell for those of you younger readers like me ... grin. Well cell phones truly changed life for ever. Now with laptops we are even more mobile with more stuff.

Web Conferencing Tips - Rain

Well today you would know it is fall in the Seattle area. We have some of our well known rain and it is a bit soggy out there today. Personally I don't mind since my commute is all in doors other then walking the kids to schoolan back each day.

I am amazed more people here in the Pacific North West don't get a web based conferencing room like I did. Just being out of the rain alone is a perfect reason to meet with everyone online instead of in person.

Meeting using web conferencing software takes away so much fun on the other hand though I guess. No more Dropping your files into a puddle as you enter the car, unbrella blows away as you pick the files back up, your seat gets all wet from the door being left open while all this goes on, you get to where the conference room is that your meeting is being held at and there is no parking at all, so parking on the street you get drenshed from passing cars, and not just one car, Once in the building after your hike you completely wipe out due to the super slippery floor, then they decide to place the wet floor sign out, in the elevator you see that you look like a reck, finally in the conference room you get the person's laptop in the seat next to you covered with water from your coat, people notice your sopping wet allover and simply ask any trouble getting here?

Sadly this is your first meeting of the day ... truly a Monday for some. Now this may be a made up story ... or is it? For many living in rainy areas things like this heppen all the time.

So the value of web based conferencing software goes up in rainy areas in my mind. I do have any of this trouble. I simply enter my web conferencing room each morning and have several meetings, trainins, drop ins each day. When I ask any trouble getting here the answers generally don't invalve wet documents and rain.

So my tip is if you live in a city where it could rain I suggest you get web based conferenceing software to keep you and your stuff dry ... smiles

Web Conferenceing Tips - Sick

You know in past post about web conference rooms I menchined that most web conferencing software out there has it all. The only thing missing from your online meeting is the coffee and donuts for those of us cheepo's who like others to buy those for us.

Just like a physical conference or meeting room the web based conferencing software has it all. White board with even more tools then one hanging on a wall, live brouser that anyone can see no matter where they are sitting, and extra's like text chat and record features. So really an online conference is even better then one in person.

Another thought came to me too. How many times have you been in a meeting or conference room where some person who should of stayed home came when they were sick? How many times did this spread it arround to those who were part of the meeting? Well exactly holding the meeting online using web based conferencing software can prevent sicknesses from spreading too. Just yet another extra from web conferencing rooms.

I will challenge this some though I was in a meeting this week in my web conference room and the other 2 were both gettign over colds. Just that afternoon my lovely cold grabbed on to me. So perhaps I may be a bit off on this tip or colds are really more in our heads then we know...smiles.

Web Conferencing Tips - Exersise

You know today my kids school was promoting walking to school. Even the bus riders were dropped off a few blocks away and walked the rest of the way. Now what does this have to do with a web based conferencing room you may be asking? Well glad you asked that is a great question ... smiles.

First though I must say I do find it a bit sad when a school needs to make it a big deal about walking to school one little day of the year. I am a bit biest though my kids and I walk each and every day rain or shine ... and it does rain once in a while here in the Seattle area.

Getting back to web conferencing software though as more and more people discover the power of using a web based conference room for personal and business meetings more and more people are going to find they don't get up and don't get out enough. Not having to travel so much, walk arround and arround a building to fidn the right conference room or meeting space. No more taking stairs to get to the right floor where your conference or meeting is being held. With school back in session many kids are in sports this time of year. Many parents too are part of a rec, church or company leag too. Now you may be wondering what does this have to do with your web conferencing software?

I was cleaning up some of my websites today including the one I use to promote my free VOIP web based conferencing software on. While doing research on keywords I noticed a new one I had not heard of myself yet ... e-learning. a rather simple word that is catching on fast and getting a lot of searches. Now e-learning does not directly fit my site but I did see that pretty much every one of the courses being offered were using a large aray of different web conferencing software. Each web based conferencing class I saw was setting up their trainings for e-lerning like a college or school would. Learning on the web in classroom style web conference rooms. There were a ton of different long distence learning or e-learning classes out there some were even charging rather what I felt high fees for their courses.

All this did show me though that there is such a need for web conferencing software out there that even new words wil be created each day from this. Perhaps you ahve been in a e-learning class yourself? Or this tip gives you an idea on how you can get your own conferencing software going and create your own e-learning univercity online.

Web Conferencing Tips - Car

I got n email today promoting one of the newer web conferencing systems out there today. It was a very informative email but the one part I got from it most and ads to the last post I made was the comparison with a web conference room and learning to drive. Especially for those who learned to drive with a stick shift.


Now for some reason they do not give blind people like me drivers licenses ... smiles, but I have riden with others and drove enough motorcycles etc to follow along. Thankfully too they do allow blind people to have web conference rooms.

The email showed how when you were learning it would be quite a ride at times. many different things needed to have your atention and as you drove the better you got over time. They pointed out a web conferencing system is for some like this too. The conference rooms may be very intimidating to many. As you use them more and more though it is just like driving and becomes second nature to you.

Plus like cars a web conferencing system comes with instructers in most cases or like theirs tootorials to learn the conference rooms step by step in all areas of the room

I was in my Veretekk web conferencing room today doing a class on Windows Movie Maker Basics. I had some great students in the conference room today. One was having trouble with this video and attended the class to get help.

This gave me todays tip. No matter what web conferencing system you have chosen to use you may find at times you need some help. Simply asking for help for some is a tuff thing to do. And really for anything not just web conferencing.

When you need help asking for it is the best thing you can do. This will speed up time, help you with the learning curve, and also give someone else the chance to feel good since they were able to help some one.

Don't be affraid to get the help you need when you need it. Also in turn help others whenever and however you can and you will find what goes arround really does come arround.

Ods are for most of us using a web conferencing system of any kind we will be doing different sorts of presentations here and there. Even for personal use like my daughter who is in 4th rade will have a need this year for creating a presentation. Many people including my daughter will be using power point for this presentation. Web Conferencing Tips - Affiliates

I heard today that about 2% of the affiliates for any given program tend to make 98% of the company's sales as an affiliate of the product. To me these seem a bit oof. Expecially when I look at the VereConference Web Conferencing System.

Web Conferencing Tips - Scam

Today I got a odd call about an old company I thought to of been real that ended up being a huge mess and quite a scam. Now I have moved on and learned from that lesson. Web Conferencing can help a ton too because people can get me live and on the spot and issues can be resolved quickly. Plus as I am promoting web conferencing systems from VereConference I do want to be sure that any icky info about me online gets taken care of. I am an honest person who does not want to hurt anyone. I was catching up today on some emails and I am noticing a theme or trend today. We know the power of web conferencing systems today and how more and more people are finding out the power of incorperating a web conferencing room into all they do personally or professionally. Another trend I am seeing is video.

Video is moving equally as fast as web conferencing to me. So thinking out loud today my blending my web conference room with a welcome video was a great move. Well i know it was a great move because I made it ... grin ... just kidding but going through emails and such today I am finding that this truly was a valid move and a smart way to blend 2 of the hotest trends online today.

Video along with web conferencing is going to move fast and soon you will see anyone who is someone will be using them to make life better for them and for those they communicate with each day. Like cell phones it will be the norm.

I had a great question today from my post about Marks webinar he did. They asked waht is the difference between "webinar" and "web conferencing"? Well to help my friend Butch put this up...

According to the Wikipedia Online Encyclopedia the definition of a webinar is: "A webinar is a type of web conference, although the direction of the presentation more often than not is primarily one way from the presenter to the audience as in a Webcast, which is transmission of information in one direction only, like watching a concert on the internet. A webinar however can be designed to be interactive between the presenter and audience. A webinar is 'live' in the sense that information is conveyed according to an agenda, with a starting and ending time. In most cases, the presenter may speak over a standard telephone line, pointing out information being presented on screen, and the audience can respond over their own telephones, preferably a speakerphone" The typical webinar is a system whereby you login on your computer and listen to the host, or moderator, give a lecture or training about a particular topic. Webinars are great learning tools. Many top rated colleges and universities are beginning to implement webinars as standard bills of fare because of the extreme benefits that it can provide to students.

So my answer was depending on the format one can call their meeting a webinar especially when it is like Mark's was anf more for informational purposes to get the info out to many people fast. However more interactive trainings or clases would be better known as a web conference or web conferencing.

I trust this helps us all get a better understanding of the new terms being created as web conferencing systems become more and more popular.

So how much is enough room? I posted real quick yesterday about Mark having a conference online about his new product. It seems many people missed the live web conferencing event since the room maxed out at 1800 people. Well school is back in sesion and things are now returning to some form of a schedule formany people. As my kids here are back to school and things are starting to fall into place quite nicely I am finding I too am going back to school too. Web Conferencing Tips - Speed

Hey thought I would touch on the speed of things today. Expecially with it being summer right now many of us wish to get the job done and get out in the sun. From my own online work I have noticed that soemthings are slowing things down. Such as emails getting blocked by spam filters that think they are helping us yet in fact they are slowing us down. Or voice mails that take too long to get a call back.

To speed things up I have found having my web conferencing system has speeded things up dramatically. People I work with know they can pop into my web conference room most days and get an answer right on the spot in person. Rather then getting my voice mail on my phone, or sending an email who knows I wil even get or have to wait for a reply to that email. Web conferencing has chaged all this. Speeding up the comminication with me and getting ansers to those I work with much much faster. with the speed of the web and things changing even faster each day I am finding this web conferencing speeding up has made the difference for me and those I workwith.

Hello Everyone!

Today I felt I would put in a quick reminder about your web conference room. Remember just because you are the boss and you work on your computer it don't mean you have to live with your computer 24/7. Especially with web conferencing from VereConference you can set the conference room up so that it is working for you even when you are not home or sleeping. you will surely recognize the creater of this one web conferencing system being compared to VereConference. To me this is insanely expensive for what you are getting. I can pay $18 a month for a 5 seat room with unlimited use and as a affiliate get 7 of that back, witch anyone can be a free affiliate and do the same to get the money back each month from their own room. So Doing your homework like I have said in the past surely is improtent in cases like this when it comes to price. Web Conference Room Tips - Meetings

Hey!

I trust for each of you your summer is going very well. My kids and I have had lots of fun in the sun and surely to love summmer time in the Pacific Northwest. Although it does take a lot of air to fill up the blow up pool ... grin.

I was setting up a new Master Mind Group for myself to work to some amazing people in my web conference room. It accured to me how simple now that I have the room all set up that it is to set up new meetings and classes. As you can see I have ben away from this bog for a bit. I have been playing with my kids a lot now that summer has officially started. So as I am off playng my web conference room is hard at work for me. Web Conference Room Tips - Technology

Hey everyone!

I trust your week was super. I feel I got a lot done yet there is always more huh? smiles. Anyhow thought I would touch on technology today. Technology is wonderful and if not for forward thinking people and advancements you would not be reading this great blog on the web. As things grow you will find that technology is forever changing.

I wanted to put in my 2 cents though and caution you on using the latest greatest technology right out the gate. I feel you should test it some first and know what you can about it before jumping right on it. I also think you need to consider all that is involved with it.

My example is with a popular web conference room software that is widely being used today on the web. They have users and clients all over the world. Recently they upgraded their web conference rooms with java. Java is great and has many aplications. I even use it to create some great effects with my pics and tabs on some of my sites. However when it comes to java and text with blind people such as myself. Well there lies a problem. Java to a screan reader that reads text is jsut a picture to screan reader. So any java on a page is seen as a pic and not read by the computer to a blind user.

This particular web conference room went and turned their text chat area and the menu's into java. Therefore eliminating the use of these areas by screan readers and then making the web conference room useless for blind users with screan readers.

Now to the company the java looks great ads in some helpful featurs and such. But did they mean to eliminate use for their blind users? Probally not and most likely don't even know yet.

So technology is great and helpful but in some cases can cause troubles such as this web conference room software this week. I then caution you to play with it first know how and what you need it for and decide weather or not it will do more harm then good before addig into what you do and use.

I wanted to expand on having a free web conference room. I feel there are a few ways to look at this. Many systems out there do have some form of a free web conference room so you can take a look at their conferencing system before you buy. Some are a watered down version of their web conference rooms, others are a full version with a time limit to use them. This is a great way to have a free web conference room to play with and see each of the features etc. In many cases you can even keep getting a free conference room over and over again and never pay for one. However this method you will need to keep setting up and making chages to the new room each time.

Hello and welcome to the weekend!

I trust you all are having fun! Today is a lazy day here for me and my kids I have had my web conference room open but been away from it most the day and letting the conference room work for me today ... smiles.

My tip for today is arround balence. You do want to be sure you balence all that you do, even in your web conference room too. When you work work work and spend all day every day working you can toss yoursel out of balence. Like a person in a conue if you ony pattle on one side you will go in circles and getting to your desired destinations will be tuff this way. Life is the same if you spend all day every day for long long hours in your web conference room and not take some time for yourself, your family, your friends etc you will begin to become off balence and find it difficult to make it to your desired destinations or goals. Now don't get me wrong hard work is well and good just in moderations ... smiles. What good is being rich if you have no one to share it with at the end?

Balence your days, weeks, jobs, life etc and you will find you can move much more smoothly and even faster at times getting to where you want to go in a straighter line rather then circles like chasing your tail ... grin.

Hello everyone!

Todays tip is on creating a business or immage with your web conference room. Since you have complete control of your web conference room and you can do everything you want to do with it. So because of this you need to take a look at the whole picture and see how can you create an image for you. rather then for your company you work for or prodcuts you offer. You see just because you are a rep or dist of the company. You still will want to create your own personal image to get better results and set yourself apart from the rest.

Creating an image for you can be shown in each area of the web conference room and can be done in many many ways. One simple way is the logo. You can create a logo that fits you and your image you wish to create. This is a simple way to get things started and can be a simple pic or one not so simple. Nice thing about this is once you create the logo then you have it and do not need to make it again. A one time energy that will pay for years to come.

You can also ad to your image you are creating by class topics you decide on. The title of your class will in a lot of cases be the first thing people read. This is a great place to start the creation of your image.

As in past post just simple color changes can also help with your image and how you create yourself using your web conference room. So don't feel creating an image is a big thing. Start with some little things like this and then build from it as you grow.

Todays tip arround the web conference rooms is more like an extension on the contest tip. Or even just a twist to it. I just joined a 100 day challenge and this brings a few ideas to me today.

1. This challenge will give me more to use in my trainings I put on in my web conference room since it is with my main business personal development. So how can you do the same? what sort of challenge or event can you join or even put on yourself to use the content in your web conference rooms?

2. I am keeping track of each of the 100 days and will use my web conference room as a recording studio to create the MP3 I will need to upload onto uTube. Again a great way to yet again use the conference room for soemthing i need for another product or project. How can you do the same? Are you creating things you can do faster easier first in your web conference room?

3. This challenge will keep me on track and accountable for the next 100 days. Again think how might you do the same with you and your web conference room?

I am sure there is more and excited to be a part of this challenge i will have to find ways to create my own challenge for more success too. For now I will put this one to the test and have FUN doing so.

You can do this in so many ways too. The prize can be what ever you see fit either large like a free vacation or small like a party in your web conference room for the winner. I am currently listening to a great book "Your Destiny Switch" by Peggy McColl and getting a lot out of it. It is dealing with emotions and how you can controll them like a dimmer switch for a light. Rather then having your emotions controll you you can use her teachings in this book and the website that goes with it to get yourself out of negative emotions quickly and to create or stay in possitive ones longer.

Happy May day!

Just like a web conference room is not just for trainings the radio is not just for music. You will find that today the internet not ony is hosting all sorts of Am and FM radio stations where you can listen online live to your favorite stations but today online radio shows are taking off too. Everything from talk shows to your favorite music can be found on web radio shows. Some are even radio blogs and podcast of other things like a web conference room training.

So how do a web conference room and the radio mix?

great question and the answer is in many ways. Here are some of those ways...

1. Use your favorite musec from your favorite station to get things started before and after a training in a web conference room. Feeding in music as people arrive for a training or meeting in your web conference room is a great way for people to get their volume set where they want it along with letting them know things will get going soon etc. Plus this ads a more effective gathering then just silence when entering a conference room. Plus you can set the tone with different kinds of radio feeds into the room.

Example today I was on a radio show that does interviews and got to talk there about what I am doing. Also if you are smart and promoting web conference rooms as a business you can use the radio to get the word out more about them to educate people on how a conference room will help them too.

4. You may just wish to have sound as people are in your room when you are not "home" and feed in a radio station for them. One training I was in recently even showed us how to do this and give your visitors the options to choose from a few stations. This ads a fun eliment to your web conference room.

When looking at the web conference rooms and the idea of money you can look at it a few different ways.

1. You can see that adding in a web conference room to your every day life will save you money in time not wasted and in not having to use more expencsive choices like phone calls to other countries. This one idea and savings alone truly makes the web conference room worth it.

There is a comercial I have heard for some office supplies where they have an easy button to make it easy to get what you need. This is a great tip and works well too when it comes to your web conference room. I was working on my image the other day so people can meet with me live right from any site I put the link on. Now wehn anyone clicks on that hyperlinked image they are entered directly into my web conference room. No having to enter an username or password. Simply click and wammo they are in the room. Making it easy for others to meet twith you in your web conference room will allow that many more people to do so that who would not other wise be bothered to type in a user name and password. Plus this also removes the misspelled password etc from your guest eliminating troubles getting into your conference room. Most conferencing systems should allow this feature and therefore you need to use this little simple tool to make life easier on your conference room visitors.

Some other tips with this link are...
1. Since you can make it any username you want you can mix it up so you know what image they clicked on to enter into your room. This not only makes it easier on them but also on you.

Example: I can put the username as Shanes Guest and then I know it came from one of my links. Or I can put (website name) guest and then know what site they came from.

2. You can make persoanl invites and have their name already in the username spot so when they click on it it shows them as them once in the web conference room. This invite can now be used anywhere even in emails to bring them right from the email into your conference room.

3. This can even be used for moderators too so they can make it easy to get into the room and support or teach others.

Really this "easy button" can be used in a veriety of ways and you can use your emagination on how you would like to make things better and easier for you and your guest in your web conference room. Well after spedning the weekend dealing with tazes to meet the dealine .... I know I know did put it off huh, grin ... even getting money back we still put it off this year ... sheesh.

I wanted to point out though when you use a web conference room to do business you can take some great advantages of the tax write off. While working with others with setting up their web conference rooms and how best that they wiill use the conference room for persoanl and business use. I am finding some feel they need to know it all before they truly use the web conference room. This is a 2 part feeling as well...

1. the first part is they feel they need to know everything about the web conference room before they do anything at all in it. I feel though the best way to learn is to do. so getting a web conference room and learning the basics will get you started. Then as you use the room more and more you will get the knowledge on how you can further grow and use more of the tools an settings provided. You don't need to know everything to be effective in the room. Plus reading blogs liek this one and going to classes in other web conference rooms will help you grow in your won conference room and how you use it. Waiting till you know it all will waste time and practice you can have using your own room will speed things up. Plus really sicne things are always in motion and changing you will never ever know it all about anything. It is like an athleet who is larning something new they are told how, then shown how, then they attempt it, then they do it after several attempts in most cases and then perfect practice makes perfect. Your web conference roo can be the same. I now have told you a lot about it, you can enter my conference room or others to shown some basics and get a demo of the conference room, then you get one and start using it, and then you will do more and more in it. You have all the knowledge you need and will learn more as you go.

2. The second half about this is some think they need to know it all to be able to hold trainings or presentations in the conference room. Again like above you wil learn more and more as you do. Plus as I have learned in my own personal development the best way to learn anything at all is to teach it. Even for personal use of the web conference room you can find ways to share with others using your web conference room and the knowledge you ahve about things. your meetings can be as simple as sharing a great family recipy you have with others. Or tips and tricks on parenting, being a grandma, gardening, etc. It is all up to your emagination you really do have all sorts of knowlege you are just not aware of in many cases. This knowlege donesn't just have to be a business you work at you can train and teach on anything what so ever at all in your web conference room. This makes it more real and people will take to you faster and better then just a busienss. Hello Again!

I am ending my day today with this tip on your welcome page as people enter your web conference room. I did post about it a tad before and how you have a few seconds in your login page to make that first impression. Well today I spent some time setting up a page just for my web conference room as people enter my personal room they will get some basic info on me, the conference room, and some of thwaht I do. You see this page is like a comercial for you when you are not in the room. Even when you are asleep at night your conference room can be working for you.

I currently am using my own web conference room in many different ways so I wanted to be sure each person who came in first felt welcome and then had an idea on how I was using the room. I also will ad links on there so as I am not in the room to help them live they still can get answers and also find out more about me and all I do.

I suggest you consider doing so as well. Make a page for your business. Make a page that will advertise for you 24/7. Make a FUN personal page. What ever fits you and how you wish to use the conference room. Since I plan to use it for all I mixed it up some and added a bit about it all. Having a web conference room provides freedom to be able to do business or meet with friends and family you ma may not be able to otherwise. many peoople work from home, or work for a company where they need to meet with people all day long meeting after meeting after meeting. Today I am going to borrow an idea I read from Cindy again about web conference rooms. She had a brilliant idea after training in her web conference room and decided to place the MP3 recording of her class into a podcast. This way more people would get to hear what she trained on.

The quality of the recording is high and therefore placing the parts of it is simple to do in a vereity of ways such as Cindy did with her podcast. Taking what she spoke on in her web conference room and placing it elsewhre is a perfect way to do more. This more also gets her a larger reach thus getting the information she teaches on in her conference room out farther and faster to the web world.

How can you do more with what you have done in your web conference room? What are some of the uses you can come up with to spread things out more? Doing more with one recording also will save you a ton of time and energy. Like Cindy she only had to do the class once but now can take that recording or parts of the recording like the MP3 and use them over and over again. One of the biggest things for success is action. No matter the goal or dream or task action is what will get you there. So today the tip is to be in the NOW and take action. when you think of some one you still would like to invite into your new web conference room. Then do it NOW! There is no better time then the present to get things done and while you ahve it fresh on your head just do it NOW. This way it will get done. Keeping it on your ehad and not doing anything will frustrate you and also cause clutter both in your head and arround you. Do it NOW while you are thinking about and aget it done or at least going. Now at the min at least write down what it is you need to do and schedule it into your day or next day to get it going and or done.

You see if you need to get to Seattle from L.A. and the car is gassed and you know where you are going and witch route to take the simple thing now to do is start the car and get on the road. Sitting there thinking about it more will not get you on your way to Seattle at all. Planning and plannig the trip will not get you there untill you start the car and get it on the road. Your thougths and ideas about your web conference room are the same way. You will not be given a thought you can not accomplish so once you get the idea run with it and get the job done.

Hello!

Todays Web Conference Room tip is about taking it easy every so often. A web conferenceing room is terrific. It helps you get more done better and faster and it improves your communication with others all over the world. One could find themselves living in this new room of their life 24/7.

Now having your web conference room open 24/7 is a perfect plan. However you physically being there in person all this time is not. You need to take it easy once in a while and get way from everything. Doing this will rejuvinate you and refresh you to be more effective when you return to yoru web conference room.

Even just a 5 minute break once in a while can give you this refresh feeling. as well. Even when you are teaching a multi hour class in your web conference room you need to schedule in breaks. Remember you are at a computer and it is not wise to sit thre stairing at the screeen with no break. You
